Patrol 42 - 9th Irene & 1st fairlands

Patrol 42 arrived at Algeria on the 9th December at about 16h00. Stefanie, one of the adult leaders suffered a mild case of food poisoning but was determined to continue her adventure over the next 10 days. The patrol built their compasses, spent the night and departed for the next base on the 10th December at 05h40. This team planned to complete their compass time trial on the 19th December 2008, but unfortunately decided to go directly to HQ instead. Happy hiking!!!!

The E team salute a brave young lady, Stefanie, on her  persistence to keep going after a day and night of dehydration. The E team’s septic tank had to be pumped empty two days ahead of schedule - just kidding, we ate a lot of curry….. Members of the E team came across patrol 42 at Dutch Oven and were delighted to see that she is still going strong.

The images below will give you an idea of patrol 48’s experience at the electronics base.
